LIFE FORTURE at CIMTEC 2018 with a poster on low-impact raw materials
June 4–14, 2018
June 4–14, 2018
From June 4 to 14, 2018, the LIFE FORTURE project team participated in CIMTEC, the 14th International Conference on Modern Materials and Technologies, held in Perugia, Italy.
CIMTEC is an international conference dedicated to advanced materials and technologies, bringing together researchers, experts and professionals working on materials science, industrial applications and technological innovation.
Within this framework, the project team presented the poster “Green Thinking in the Ceramic Industry — Porcelain Stoneware Tiles from Low-impact Raw Materials”.
The poster focused on one of the key technical directions of LIFE FORTURE: the development of ceramic products with reduced environmental impact through a more sustainable selection of raw materials. In particular, it addressed how porcelain stoneware tile formulations can be reconsidered by taking into account the origin of raw materials, their transport and their contribution to the overall environmental profile of the final product.
This contribution helped present LIFE FORTURE’s eco-design approach to an international audience interested in materials innovation, showing how sustainability can be integrated into ceramic product development from the earliest formulation stages.
The conference was attended by Cristina Siligardi.
The poster is available in the Deliverables section of this website.
