During Tecnargilla 2018, held in Rimini from September 24 to 28, the conference “The ceramic industry towards a circular economy model” was organised by the Italian Ceramic Society in collaboration with ACIMAC.
The event focused on the transition of the ceramic industry towards circular economy, addressing the need to rethink traditional production models through products and processes with lower impact, greater fairness and stronger social and territorial value.
Within this framework, Fernando E. García Muiña and Davide Settembre Blundo, from the LIFE FORTURE project team, presented the speech “Corporate Social Responsibility: how to integrate sustainability principles into business models”.
The contribution showed how sustainability can become part of company strategy and business model innovation, moving beyond environmental compliance and integrating economic and social dimensions into industrial decision-making.
Tecnargilla is the most important international trade fair for supplies to the ceramic and brick industries, organised by ACIMAC and IEG — Italian Exhibition Group. Presenting LIFE FORTURE in this context allowed the project team to reach a highly qualified audience of companies, suppliers, researchers and professionals connected to ceramic technologies.
The conference was attended by Cristina Siligardi, Alessio Lelli, Veronica Checchinato and Eva Magdalena Gualtieri.
The presentation slides are available in the Deliverables section of this website.
