On December 13, 2018, the LIFE FORTURE project team met with Prof. Antonello Monsù Scolaro from the Department of Architecture of the University of Sassari.
The meeting took place at the Department of Engineering “Enzo Ferrari” of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and was dedicated to the discussion of circularity in industrial processes and building materials.
This exchange was part of the project’s technology transfer activities towards the building sector, one of the areas where the results of LIFE FORTURE can generate broader value beyond ceramic tile manufacturing.
The discussion focused on how circular economy principles can be applied to materials, production processes and construction-related value chains. In this perspective, LIFE FORTURE’s work on dynamic sustainability assessment, eco-design and life cycle-based indicators offers a useful contribution to the development of more responsible and measurable approaches in the building industry.
The meeting was attended by Davide Settembre Blundo, Anna Maria Ferrari, Cristina Siligardi and Alessio Lelli.
