On February 19, 2019, the LIFE FORTURE project team met at Gresmalt headquarters in Sassuolo to define the roadmap for integrating the project’s environmental and socio-economic impact assessment model with the company’s ERP system.
The meeting brought together Gresmalt, the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and Rey Juan Carlos University, with the Spanish team connected by videoconference. The objective was to align the methodological development of the assessment model with the practical requirements of the company’s information systems.
A central topic of discussion was the integration between production data, sensors and ERP. Gresmalt’s IT department joined the meeting to define how the different phases of the ceramic production process should be aggregated in order to facilitate data collection and enable communication between factory sensors and the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning system.
This working session represented an important step towards the dynamic nature of LIFE FORTURE. By connecting sustainability assessment tools with industrial data flows, the project moved closer to its goal of transforming environmental, economic and social impact monitoring into a real-time decision-support system for ceramic manufacturing.
The meeting was attended by Davide Settembre Blundo, Anna Maria Ferrari, Lucrezia Volpi, Monica Algeri, Alessandra Salvarani, Daniele Manfredini, Simone Vezzani, Fernando E. García Muiña, Sonia Medina Salgado, Rocío González Sánchez, Eva Pelechano Barahona and Thais González Torres.
