On September 9, 2019, the LIFE FORTURE project team met with members of Gresmalt’s accounting and management control department to work on the Life Cycle Costing model developed by Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid.
The meeting focused on the economic dimension of sustainability, one of the three pillars of the LIFE FORTURE approach together with environmental and social assessment. The first step was the implementation of a static Life Cycle Costing model based on 2018 data, which will later be transformed into a dynamic model as the project develops.
During the working session, the team examined the different cost items in detail and identified the possible data sources available within the company. This activity was essential to connect the methodological structure of Life Cycle Costing with the company’s actual accounting and management control systems.
In the next meetings, the project team will work on retrieving the necessary information from the corporate ERP system and completing the first version of the static model.
The meeting was attended by Davide Settembre Blundo, Marco Cucchi, Francesco Marinelli and Francesca Rivieccio.
