The first technical coordination meeting between Gresmalt and Rey Juan Carlos University was held on November 10, 2017, at the Department of Business Administration, Applied Economics II and Fundamentals of Economic Analysis in Madrid.
The meeting marked an important starting point for the development of the LIFE FORTURE methodology. Its main objective was to define the procedures needed to begin the project activities and to discuss the contents of Action B6, dedicated to the integration of Life Cycle Assessment, Life Cycle Costing and Social Life Cycle Assessment into a sustainable decision-making model.
This action represents one of the core methodological components of LIFE FORTURE, as it aims to bring together the environmental, economic and social dimensions of sustainability within a single framework for industrial decision-making.
The meeting also helped align the work of the industrial and academic partners from the very beginning of the project, setting the basis for the future development of the dynamic sustainability assessment model.
The meeting was attended by Davide Settembre Blundo, Fernando E. García Muiña and Eva Pelechano Barahona.
