The LIFE FORTURE project was presented at Qualicer 2020, one of the most relevant international congresses dedicated to ceramic tile quality and innovation.
During the event, Sonia Medina Salgado and Lucrezia Volpi shared two complementary contributions developed within the project. The first presentation, “Increased Green Value of Glazed Porcelain Stoneware Tiles through the Eco-Design of Raw Materials”, focused on how raw material selection and supply strategies can improve the environmental profile of ceramic products.
The second presentation, “The economic dimension of sustainability: new perspectives from a ceramic tile manufacturing context”, addressed the role of economic assessment in sustainable manufacturing, showing how Life Cycle Costing can support decision-making and help companies evaluate sustainability not only as an environmental issue, but also as a business and value creation opportunity.
Together, the two contributions highlighted the integrated approach of LIFE FORTURE: combining environmental, economic and social assessment to support more sustainable ceramic products and more informed industrial decisions.
The presentations are available in the Deliverables section of this website.
