CISE webinar: digitalisation as an opportunity for sustainable manufacturing

The LIFE FORTURE project team took part in a webinar organised by CISE, the Centre for Innovation and Economic Development, to discuss how digitalisation can become a practical enabler of sustainability in manufacturing.

The event offered the opportunity to present one of the central ideas of the project: using digital technologies and production data to move sustainability assessment from a static, retrospective exercise to a dynamic tool able to support decision-making in real time.

Through the LIFE FORTURE experience, the team showed how Industry 4.0 can help companies monitor environmental, economic and social impacts more effectively, making sustainability part of everyday industrial management rather than a separate reporting activity.

The webinar also contributed to the dissemination of the project’s results, highlighting the role of digitalisation in the transition towards more circular, efficient and sustainable manufacturing models.
